Lakeville Training Center

AEP's Lakeville Transmission training center is a 180-acre facility dedicated primarily to comprehensive de-energized and energized Transmission line training. It boasts an array of state-of-the-art equipment for hands-on training including:

• Training lines ranging from 12kV to 765kV, offering wood, lattice tower and steel pole construction with single, dual and four-bundle conductor configurations.
• A unique, low-level 138kV yard including single pole, H-frame, running corner and lattice steel structures. This setting provides excellent student-teacher interaction during field training.
• An energized 345kV line adjoining the property allows for actual EHV and bare hand training exercises on 345kV lines.
