Training for a substation electrician is divided into a series of modules, beginning with C series (apprentice) and concluding with A series (journeyman).

Students will attend a one-week session about every six months. This time interval allows the student to develop this skill set prior to the next level of training.

Courses are instructed by qualified, experienced personnel, utilizing prewritten modules that are supported by visual and video presentation. Training is a compilation of classroom and field-oriented instruction with hands-on demonstration. Students are required to pass a written evaluation test and competency skill demonstration to successfully complete each class.
